Carbendazim is a benzimidazole carbamate fungicide with systemic activity. It is used to control a broad spectrum of diseases by protective and curative action. Carbendazim
works by inhibiting the development of fungi probably by interfering with spindle formation at mitosis (cell division). In addition, it can be used as a mildew-proofing agent in textiles,
papermaking, leather and paint.
