Polyaluminium chloride for drinking water treatment
In water purification, this compound is preferred in some cases because of its high charge, which makes it more effective at destabilizing and removing suspended materials than other aluminium salts such as aluminium sulfate, aluminium chlorideand various forms of polyaluminium chloride and polyaluminium chlorisulfate, in which the aluminium structure results in a lower net charge than aluminium chlorohydrate. Further, the high degree of neutralization of the HCl results in minimal impact on treated water pH when compared to other aluminium and iron salts.
Main uses
1. It is a flocculant which is mainly used to purify drinking water and special water treatment of
water supply,
such as iron removal, fluoride removal, cadmium removal, radioactive pollution removal, floating oil
removal and so on. It is also used for industrial waste water treatment, such as printing and dyeing waste
water. In addition, it is also used in precision casting, medicine, paper making rubber, tanning,
petroleum, chemical industry and dyestuff.

3. main ingredients for anti sweat cosmetics.
4. part of the flocculant can be used in food additives.
