Nature:Since the structure of and NVP is the structure of and VA, it has the properties of both PVP and PVAC. Compared the nature of the above three products, polyvidone retained the good PVP [1] water solubility, adhesion and membrane, and than the PVP is relatively much lower water absorption and more broad solubility, better plasticity and stronger surface activity (Note: the vegetables on the surface of the water affinity than PVP). Therefore, this product is a kind of fine tablet binder, which has the characteristics of high hardness and low brittleness, and can be used in the wet conditions. It is especially suitable for high dose, poor water solubility and water sensitive drug. [2]

At the same time, this product is also an excellent film forming agent, used in the coating solution of the core of the tablet, granule, pellet and sugar coated tablets, and the spray of local medicine. The film coating and spray film prepared by this product have good flexibility, low water absorption, high plasticity and low viscosity.

Usage:As tablet and granule, the adhesive can be used wet, dry granulation and direct compression method to complete, in most cases the dosage of micro gross preparation of 2% - 5%, general is about 3%, concentration of adhesive generally 5 ~ 10%. According to the different materials and auxiliary materials, water or alcohol and other solvents can be used as solvent. When the direct compression method is used, the dosage is about 5%, which can be used as the auxiliary material, such as lactose, sorbitol, mannitol and microcrystalline cellulose, but it should pay attention to controlling the moisture content in the ingredients to maintain proper bonding. This product as a thin film coating, often and cellulose derivatives, shellac, molecular weight polyethylene glycol (PEG) combined to improve film strength, adjust the film flexibility and solubility; generally do not have to add plasticizers.
